TRUMANN FOOD PANTRY - WHO WE ARE
"The Trumann Food Pantry exists for the sole purpose of providing limited emergency food to people in need."
DESCRIPTION OF OUR SERVICES
The Trumann Food Pantry was incorporated in November 2009 and opened to serve the community on March 3, 2010. The first month we were open we served 243 households with an emergency box.
Our food boxes include the following:
Bread and bakery
Non-perishable pantry shelf items
Always included are canned goods
It is always our goal to include in the box items that will make meals for a family. The food box is to provide food to those who cannot afford to purchase food to carry them over, thus the name, "Emergency Box".
Anyone residing in the 72472 zip code who is in need of an Emergency Box are welcomed to come to the pantry. We serve only one box per household and larger families receive a larger amount of food. As many as one-half of our clients, due to low income, return each month. Each time a client comes to the Pantry they must bring a Driver's license or State ID, as well as a current rent receipt or utility bill.
